Train

There are direct ICE, IC and EC connections to Germany, Austria, Italy, France and the Benelux countries. The Basel trade fair can be reached in five to ten minutes from the SBB (Switzerland), SNCF (France) and DB (Badischer Bahnhof, Germany) train stations.

Tram

With tram line 1 or 2 from the SBB/SNCF train station you can reach the “Messeplatz” stop in ten minutes. From Badischer Bahnhof you can take line 2 or 6 to get there in two stops.

Parking

Basel is a junction of Swiss, German and French motorways. The exhibition and congress grounds have a direct connection to the A2 motorway. The “Messe” exit takes you directly to the Messe Basel car park with 1,200 parking spaces.

Accessibility

The exhibition in Hall 1.2 is barrier-free accessible via the main entrance (elevator side Riehenring). The premises of Messe Basel are barrier-free, you can find further information here

Children under 5 years receive free admission. The free ticket is available at the box office.

Special discount:
The special discount applies to children aged 10-16, retirees 65 and over, students and trainees up to the age of 27, those doing civil and military service, welfare recipients & wheelchair users. The exhibition is wheelchair accessible. If an accompanying person is registered, they receive free admission. The free ticket can be collected at the box office.

Family ticket:
The family ticket is valid for 4 people (2 adults + 2 children or 1 adult + 3 children). The booking is made in 4 individual tickets at the family discount level.

Regarding the exhibition

Regarding the experience

In Marvel: Universe of Super Heroes, you will discover original artifacts, including real costumes, props and original art - from the origins of the Marvel Universe in the 1940s of New York to the present day. The exhibition shows the enormous influence of Super Heroes on pop culture worldwide and reveals the stories behind individual characters such as Captain America or Captain Marvel at the same time. During the tour, you can feel your way through the mysterious mirror dimension of Doctor Strange or pose for a selfie alongside life-size representations of Black Panther or Spider-Man.

Regarding access to the exhibition

Regarding the tickets

The Marvel exhibition offers time slot tickets. You can choose the day and time of arrival at the exhibition. With a flex ticket your month stays as flexible as possible according to your wishes. You just purchase a flex ticket and visit whenever you feel like it within that month.

With a VIP ticket, you gain entry through the VIP entrance, the fast lane. You will also receive a VIP badge on a Marvel lanyard, a voucher for a free poster at the end of the exhibition and a 10% discount at the merchandise shop on site.

Children aged 5-9 profit from a special rate, while children aged 10-16 are included in our special discount rate.

The special discount is also suited for senior citizens (age 65+), students (with show of ID), apprentices up to the age of 27, people in civil or military service, welfare recipients and wheelchair users.

A family of 2 adults and 2 children or 1 adult and 3 children can visit the Marvel exhibition with a family ticket.

We also offer Group tickets where school classes profit from special rates per person as well as other groups (10 or more people) will profit from special rates suited to them.
